Today was our first day at Éxelencia Familia. We painted a lot of the house with rollers and brushes. Tia and a couple of children cooked us rice, beans, and salsa (muy delicioso!!). At the end of the day, we played with the children outside. They are so endearing and fun to be with! Several girls kept running to me and asked how to say some Spanish words in English (i.e. ¨Como se dice ´Gracias´ en Ingles¨ Me: ¨Thank you¨ Them: ¨Come se dice OK¨ Me: ¨Hmmm...OK!¨).
Afterwards, we had some team building ¨exercises¨, haha.
The staff here and the family we are staying with are so gracious.
We are going to the grocery store now....more to come!!
